Kaunsa Card?

Which card for a restaurant discount?

Find the offer, compare your bill, check the terms.

Which bank card should you use at a restaurant?

Use the eligible card you already have that offers the greatest estimated saving on your bill after its stated cap. There is no card that wins at every restaurant. The answer depends on the place and branch, the exact card product, the day, your eligible bill and the offer conditions.

Discover restaurants and offers by city, then open a restaurant to compare listed cards against your bill. Check the bank's discount page and confirm eligibility with the merchant before paying.

A practical way to choose

  1. Find the restaurant in Explore. Select your city and check the participating branch.
  2. Identify the exact credit or debit card products you hold. A rate or cap for one tier may not apply to another.
  3. Enter the eligible bill amount. Compare estimated rupees saved after each stated cap, rather than percentages alone.
  4. Check valid days and times, minimum spend, dine-in or delivery mode, excluded items and transaction limits.
  5. Ask the merchant to confirm the offer before ordering or paying. A listing and estimate do not guarantee redemption.

Worked example: why the higher rate may lose

Suppose an eligible bill is Rs 6,000. Card A advertises 40% off, capped at Rs 1,000: 40% of the bill is Rs 2,400, so its estimated saving is Rs 1,000. Card B advertises 30% off, capped at Rs 2,500: its estimated saving is Rs 1,800. Card B saves Rs 800 more in this illustrative calculation.

These are invented rates and caps to explain the method, not current offers or a recommendation for a bank product. Both offers would also need to be valid for your exact card, restaurant, branch, bill and visit. Read the full guide to discount caps.

A current catalogue listing to inspect

The current public catalogue has a listing for Kebabish Continental in Bahawalpur, showing 15% off for Allied Bank Visa Platinum Debit Card with a listed cap of Rs 1,500. Check Allied Bank's discount page (a general bank page, not this exact offer).

This is one listing, not a claim that this card is the best at that restaurant or that the offer will work today. Check the bank's current terms, branch and valid day before payment.
